I recently booked a one-bedroom apartment in Lisbon for €250 per night, traveling with my young kid and toddler. The app didn’t allow me to request an additional bed, so I had planned to pay for the extra bed upon arrival. Unfortunately, due to a late flight, we arrived at the apartment around 11:30 PM. Upon check-in, we were informed that we couldn't stay in the one-bedroom apartment with our kids, as it exceeded the room’s occupancy limit. The solution offered was far from ideal. We were told we would need to pay €650 for a two-bedroom apartment for one night, as we had exceeded the two-person limit. Given the late hour and the exhaustion from traveling with young children, we were left with no choice but to accept the upgrade at three times the original price. This was an incredibly frustrating experience, especially since the policy didn’t allow for any flexibility with the additional bed request, and we ended up paying far more than expected under stressful circumstances. Would not recommend this place for family with kids.
